Casa Izeba, a guest house in Roma

Now more than ever, guest houses and boutique hotels are present all over the world. Travelers are looking for a sense of home without losing the comfort and service of hospitality: they want hotels that make them feel at home. Casa Izeba joins this offer in Mexico City so that you can live an experience not only of travel, but also of life.

Guest House in Rome

Casa Izeba is located in the heart of Roma, at Colima 183. This project is presented as that aunt's house where you felt like it was your second home. Originally a family home that evolved over the years, today it is a guest house that mixes traditional colonial architecture and modernity.

The design of the house seeks to create that old-fashioned atmosphere that distinguishes the houses of aunts or grandparents, without losing the modern feel. Although some parts have been remodeled, the interior design retains original details such as the dining room, the floors and even the breakfast dishes. The furniture is a combination of recovered vintage furniture and Mexican designer pieces.

The guest house in Roma has eight rooms distributed throughout the house . In the main area there are two rooms with high ceilings, and one of them has a small balcony overlooking the street. The main staircase leads us to the Attic area where there are 3 very homely rooms that are distinguished by their privacy and natural light. In addition, two of the rooms have a view of the interior patio and the Master Suite has a terrace surrounded by trees that allows you to enjoy the city.

The central courtyard was designed to remind us of that homely part full of plants where we can have breakfast and refresh ourselves, with a yellow spiral staircase as the protagonist. This part of the guest house is known as the Greenhouse. Here there are three rooms full of light and an incredible view. Finally, at the top, the terrace is a green space that allows you to enjoy the view of the city.

Izeba House and Roma

Due to its location, Casa Izeba is the ideal place to visit some of the places that have become characteristic of the Roma neighborhood. The Rosetta bakery of Mexican chef Elena Reygadas is located below the house and you will not miss some of her breads for breakfast.

The artistic personality of the neighborhood is also present at Casa Izeba with a series of traveling exhibitions by local artists where you can find paintings, sculptures and much more. And complementing the philosophy of working with Mexican projects, the amenities in every house are provided by Laguna Cyprien with shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap and moisturizing cream with a green tea scent.
