Laguna Cyprien × Abitante

This October, our showroom becomes a place for slow looking. Abitante's pieces, handmade from recycled paper, coexist with our products in a journey through shapes, textures, and aromas.

Handmade paper lamps by Abitante, organic shapes

What paper remembers

Abitante is Ana Tron's studio in Mexico City. Her story begins at home, with piles of paper and cardboard she didn't want to throw away. Her first vases emerged from there; then, lamps, bowls, and objects that she now works on hand-in-hand with an artisan, in a workshop where each piece takes its time.

Her language stems from nature, from those forms that are perfect precisely because they are not, and intersects with geometry. The result is organic silhouettes, surfaces that beg to be touched, and a calm that is felt before it is understood.

Matter · Paper that returns

Making with what already exists

Each Abitante piece is born from papier-mâché: recycled paper, paste, chalk paint, and a matte water-based varnish. An ancient technique that Ana has been perfecting until making it durable, without losing what makes it unique: no two pieces are alike.

That is where we recognized each other. At Laguna Cyprien, we believe that care begins with what we choose to bring home: fewer things, better made, designed to stay. Ana summarizes it in an idea that could be written on our walls.

"Maximum sensory impact, minimum environmental impact."

The display · Curated by Fernanda Sela

A dialogue to explore slowly

Curated by Fernanda Sela, the Abitante pieces are arranged among our candles, perfumes, creams, soaps, and oils. The warm light of their lamps, the textures of the paper, and the notes floating in the air create a single conversation: that of a space inhabited with all the senses.

We invite you to visit us, explore the collection calmly, and, if a piece speaks to you, take it with you to accompany your rituals at home. All are available in the showroom during the exhibition.
