From the Earth to the Bottle:
Our new Hydrating Oil
and the Market that Inspired It

Black fig, vetiver, and bay leaf. Three ingredients that come from the earth, which we found—like so many things we love—in one of Mexico City's most beautiful markets.

Everything comes from the earth

At Laguna Cyprien, we believe the best ingredients are those that already exist. Those that grow, mature, and transform on their own. Those that smell real.

Our new Fig, Vetiver, and Bay Leaf Hydrating Oil was born from that conviction: to seek in nature a combination that deeply nourishes the skin and, at the same time, tells a story.

The sweet, earthy black fig, rich in beta-carotene. Vetiver, a root that smells of damp earth after rain. The green, herbal bay leaf, with that freshness only strong-growing plants provide.

"There are ingredients that don't need to be improved. They just need to be found."

The three ingredients that make it unique

Fig

Sweet and creamy. Rich in beta-carotene and antioxidants, it protects the skin from environmental damage and provides deep luminosity.

Vetiver

Earthy, smoky, and warm. A root that anchors the scent and connects with something primitive. Regenerating and soothing for the skin.

Bay Leaf

Green, herbal, and clean. A fresh touch that balances and tones. Natural antiseptic with an unmistakable aroma.

Formulated with sweet almond, argan, jojoba, grape seed, and calendula vegetable oils. All natural, all biodegradable, all with a purpose.

A discovery: Mercado Pachuca in La Condesa

When we sought inspiration for this oil, we went to the market.

Mercado Pachuca, located in the La Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City, is one of those places that isn't widely advertised but those who know it can't help but return. It's our favorite discovery in that part of the city and we wanted to share it.

It's an authentic market, full of color and life. Here, the everyday mixes with the extraordinary: fruit stalls stacked like sculptures, fresh herbs scenting the air, chilies of all shapes and colors, and that particular energy found only in truly vibrant markets.

"Mercado Pachuca is everything we love about Mexico in one place: color, freshness, tradition, and a generosity that reminds you where we come from."

Why go to Mercado Pachuca

Seasonal fruits and vegetables

Black figs, mamey, soursop, cherimoya—ingredients that taste completely different when they come fresh from the field.

Herbs and spices

Fresh bay leaf, epazote, hierba santa, vetiver. An aromatic universe that directly inspired our new oil.

Prepared food

Tacos, juices, broths, and more. Market food in Mexico City is legendary, honest, delicious, with recipes that have existed for decades.

Iconic location

In the heart of La Condesa, one of CDMX's most beloved neighborhoods. Surrounded by cafes, parks, and architecture.

If you visit Mexico City and want to experience something authentic, Mercado Pachuca is the place.

How to use the oil

  • On the body: Apply a few drops after bathing onto damp skin. Massage in circular motions. Skin absorbs oil best when slightly wet.
  • On the hands: A few drops are enough. Ideal before sleep or for hydration during the day.
  • On the hair: One or two drops on the ends to nourish without greasing. Also works as a shine serum on dry hair.
  • As an aromatic ritual: Warm a few drops between your palms, close your eyes, and inhale the aroma before applying. A moment just for you.
